| I had Magnum Retrievers train my female Labrador retriever “Mattie” last spring and he did a fantastic job. I would highly recommend Jim for any retriever training you might need. I have owned several labs and hunt ducks between Havana and Beardstown, Illinois. I had trained three or four labs myself previously, but “Mattie” gave me fits. She wanted to take the dummy twenty yards away after retrieving it and lay down and play with it. Jim straightened her out and she came back the most obedient dog I have ever had. He has all the high tech tools needed for today’s trainers, including remote controlled launchers. He really cares about his client’s dogs and takes excellent care of them. He is very conscience about training in the heat and will only train for short periods of time when the temps start to rise in the summer.
